2022年度前半は、本研究課題である1920年代のハーレム・ルネンスの展開を、「教育」と「1960年代公民権運動」という、二つの視点から考察した。この議論は、2021年に科研費学術図書として出版した共著『ハーレム・ルネサンス』（明石書店）をふまえて、研究期間の後半部に至って、結論にかかわる内容として考察した。前半での研究成果は、以下となる。１．蜘蛛と箒企画オンライン特別講座　2022年9月11日（日）　ニュー・ニグロの美術教育から公民権運動へ――ロック、デューイ、バーンズ　２．同志社大学　アメリカ研究所 2022 年度 部門研究（第一部門）講演会2022 年 9 月 20 日（火） Isaac Julien “Once Again … (Statues Never Die)”にみるインターセクショナリティ―ハーレム・ルネサンスから BLM 運動へ後半は、「作家のキャリア」という問題について、以下３のシンポジウムでの発表をめざして考察した。前半と後半とでは、研究テーマが異なるようにも見えるが、「ハーレム・ルネサンス」という歴史的区分や文学史区分がどのように作られたのかを分析するという点において共通している。特に、昨今、国内でも関連書類が出版されて話題になっているインターセクショナリティの概念も、もともとは、1970年代後半の黒人女性文学批評の動きにおいて始まったものであるが、それが今日にまで継続している点を、本年度の前半においては視覚芸術、後半においては作家が残した文字資料を素材として分析した。３．アメリカ文学会東京支部12月例会　2022年12月10日 於 慶應義塾大学三田キャンパス シンポジウム「作家のキャリア」を研究すること―現在地とこれから モリスンが編む、モリスンを編む―文学史というキャリア
