本年度は，2022年5月から2023年2月末までオーストリア・グラーツに滞在する機会を得たので，これまで実施できなかった海外での文献調査・収集を集中的に行うのと並行して，現地の研究者の助言を参考に資料の読解と整理を行い，それらの成果を個別論文としてまとめた。これらは当初の研究計画に若干の修正を加えて遂行された。ウィーンのラジオ放送局「ラジオ通信株式会社」（RAVAG）の文学部門長ハンス・ニュヒテルンの関連文献調査は，主に墺国立図書館内手稿保存室で実施し，ほぼ予定通り資料を複写できた。また第二次大戦前にRAVAGの学術部門長ルドルフ・ヘンツに関する資料を主に1930年代の彼の活動に焦点をあてて墺研究機関において文献収集を進めた。その過程においてヘンツが1930年にウィーンで開催されたカトリック会議や祝祭劇の台本・演出にも深く関わっていた点に気がつき分析を進めた。カトリック会議期間中にウィーンのスタジアムで上演された祝祭劇『聖ミヒャエルよ，我らを導き給え』は，ヘンツが台本と演出を手がけていたので，その台本やカトリック会議の報告書分析し，論文にまとめた。上記の分析のプロセスを通して，ラジオという媒体の性質のみならず，1930年代の放送内容，さらにヘンツの祝祭劇において群集という問題も本研究課題に深く関わることに気づき，その知見を深める必要性も再認識し，ウィーン出身の作家ヘルマン・ブロッホの群集論についての考察も始めた。海老根剛氏（大阪公立大学）・古矢晋一氏（立教大学）が取り組む「世紀転換期から第２次世界大戦後までのドイツ語圏における群集思考の歴史的展開」の研究会に参加し，ブロッホの群集論に関する報告を行なった。またブロッホの生前には出版されなかった1936年に成立した未完の小説の初稿について，1930年代のオーストリアの政治状況を踏まえて考察も行い，論文としてまとめた。
