项目摘要

L2学習者による機能範疇の習得の解明に向けて、令和4年度は、まず、前年度学会誌に投稿した論文の修正に関連して日本人英語学習者による書き言葉コーパスの再調査と追実験を行った。コーパスの再調査を通して、中高生がfor句付きtough構文を産出していることが判明した。この結果は、(i)インプット（教科書に掲載されているfor句付きtough構文)では十分な説明ができないこと、(ii)for句付きtough構文は日本語でも構造は異なるが対応するものがあることからL1の影響もあるとするとより自然な説明が可能であることが明らかになった。追実験では、L1日本語の学習者(高校生)がL2英語のtough構文で残留代名詞を容認するのかを調べた。その結果、文末副詞の存在による影響も受けながら、彼らが他動詞文よりtough構文で残留代名詞を容認する傾向が高いことが明らかになった。したがって、彼らのtough構文に関する文法知識に演算子の移動は関わっていない可能性があるとの示唆を得た。演算子の移動は機能範疇が引き金となって生じるとされており、tough構文の埋め込み文内の機能範疇が目標言語とは異なる性質を持っている可能性がある。令和4年度はこうしたコーパスの再調査と追実験の結果を基に論文を修正し、再投稿を行った。一方、このtough構文の研究の一部に関しては、2023年2月28日に新潟大学言語研究会(NULC)第85回研究発表会で「日本語が母語の英語学習者によるtough構文の習得: インプットと母語の影響」と題する口頭発表を行い、研究成果を公表した。

L2 Learner's Interpretation of Functional Categories in Chinese, Japanese, and Japanese The investigation was conducted in the middle of the year. The result is that (i) the structure of the text is different,(ii) the structure of the text is different,(iii) the influence of the text is different,(iv) the natural explanation is possible,(v) the structure of the text is different. L1 Japanese language learners (college students) have a strong understanding of the residual pronouns in L2 English. The effect of the adverb at the end of the sentence is affected by the tendency to recognize the residual pronoun in the sentence. For example, if you want to know more about grammar, you should know more about the possibility of movement. The movement of an operator is related to the functional category, the purpose, the speech, the nature, the possibility, etc. In 2004, we conducted a re-investigation and a review of the results of our research. We revised and re-submitted our papers. The 85th Research Conference of the Niigata University Speech Research Council (NULC), held on February 28, 2023, presented the oral presentation on the topic "Japanese as a mother tongue for English learners: acquisition of tough structure: the influence of mother tongue."
