项目摘要

本研究は、19世紀前半のフランス史の展開において、国旗および国歌が果たした機能と、市民によるそれらの受容や拒絶、また改変の実態を、わが国では初めて実証的に考察する。対象地域は、セーヌ＝マリチム県の主邑ルアン市である。本年度も、新型コロナウィルス感染症蔓延のため、予定していたルアン市立図書館、セーヌ=マリチム県文書館、パリの国立文書館、国立図書館における史料収集を断念せざるを得なかった。国内における史料収集に関しても、所属機関から出張許可が下りず、停滞した。それゆえ本年度も入手済みの史料の読解と論文執筆に重点をおいた。まずイギリス・フランス・日本の三国の革命の比較研究に関して、論説を1本公刊した（『比較革命史の新地平』）。ついでフランス革命に関する論文集の書評、さらには哲学・啓蒙思想に関する事典を公刊した。また研究会、学会における報告を2度行った。１つは阿河雄二郎著『近世フランス王権と周辺世界―王国と帝国のあいだ』の書評（関西フランス史研究会。2022年4月23日）、いま1つは、科学研究費補助金基盤研究（A）「共和政の再検討」（代表：中澤達哉）の主催する合評会「革命史の叙述は変わるのか」において、「王のいる共和政」論にフランス近代史の観点から批評を行った。これは『比較革命史の新地平』公刊と並んで、本研究の志向する比較史のための共同研究の一環であるが、これに関する報告も2023 年度中に公刊予定である。当該年度におけるルアン市立文書館、セーヌ＝マリチム県文書館、パリの国立文書館および国立図書館における教育関連史料の収集は断念したが、19世紀半ばまでの祭典および公式行事に関わる史料はほぼ入手できており、その分析は当初の予定以上に進んでいる。 2023年度に再度渡仏し、総裁政府期、統領政府期、帝政期、復古王政期、七月王政期ルアンにおける公教育に関連する史料の入手を計画している。
