令和４年は試験片の制作およびテスト実施を中心に、文献調査、関連セミナーへの参加による情報収集を行った。まず、試験片の制作およびテスト実施については、①刺激の種類による強さの感じ方の違い、②重さの違いによる差の判断の違いについての２種類を行った。テスト①については、条件の異なる５種類の試験片を１セットとし、手触りだけの情報から「刺激が強い」順に選ぶというテストを実施した。試験片は手触りの異なる５種類を用意した。また、指先だけでなく手のひらを使って刺激を感じることができるように試験片のサイズや形を検討し、10ｃｍ程度のひも状にした。テスト②については、重さの異なる５種類の試験片を３セット用意し、手触りだけの情報から重い順に選ぶというテストを実施した。試験片のセットは、A.重さの差が等間隔で重くなる5種類、B.重くなるにつれ重さの差が小さくなる5種類、C. 重くなるにつれ重さの差が大きくなる5種類、の３セットである。また、指先だけでなく手のひらを使って刺激を感じることができるように試験片のサイズや形を検討し、直径5㎝の球体とした。実施の結果、テスト①は、やわらかい素材を「とてもやわらかいという刺激が強い」と回答する場合と、粗い素材を「とても粗いという刺激が強い」と判断する場合があることがわかった。また、テスト②については、比較対象となる試験片の重さの差が同じ場合でも、重い試験片同士を比較する場合と軽い試験片同士を比較する場合によって判断結果が異なることがわかった。テストの結果を参考に刺激の素材や条件設定について、引き続き、検討する。次に、文献調査、関連セミナー、学会参加による情報収集を行った。調査結果の１つとして、人はそのモノを触る前に視覚からの情報によって快・不快（触りたい、触りたくない）を判断する。そのため、視覚からの情報で「触りたい」と思わせることも重要であることがわかった。
