项目摘要

今年度は研究成果発表のためのシンポジウムを開催し、これまでに行ったドイツ・オーストリアのジャポニスム音楽の研究成果を発表した。またレクチャーコンサートを開催し、これまでの研究成果を解説と演奏で発表した。新たに黄禍論とジャポニスムのオペラの関係性に着目し、研究成果を国内学会、国内研究会で発表した。(1) 19世紀末から20世紀初期のウィーンで上演されたジャポニスムのオペラ・オペレッタにおける〈芸者〉の表象をテキストと音楽の両面から考察し、シンポジウムで発表した。オリエンタリスム、ジャポニスムに関連する研究者とともに、多角的視点からジャポニスムを考えることができた。 (2) 1924年に作曲されたテオドル＝サーントーのオペラ《タイフーン》について、黄禍論との関連性、西洋人と東洋人の精神性、サーントーの作曲技法の観点から分析考察し、日本音楽学会全国大会と愛知音楽研究会で発表した。元の戯曲、オペラ台本、スコアの分析により、ストーリーの中心は西洋人と日本人の精神性の相違であること、サーントーの作曲技法の特徴は4度から8度の複雑な平行和音の使用であることを解明した。当時の新聞にはプッチーニのオペラ《蝶々夫人》の影響を指摘する記事が見られたが、《タイフーン》はオリエンタリスム的な視点で書かれたオペラではなく、日本旋律の引用においても《蝶々夫人》とは一線を画していることを解明した。(3) ハインリヒ・ボクレット《日本民謡集》（1888）、アドルフ・テルシャク《さくらと花競》（1890）、ルドルフ・ディットリヒ《日本楽譜》（1894,1895)、ゲオルク・カペレン《小学唱歌》（1903）を取り上げ、日本の旋律の和声化と西洋における受容について解説と演奏によるレクチャーコンサートを行った。一般向けのレクチャーコンサートで、参加者から高評価を得ることができた。
