本年度は、現在の冬木家（明治維新に際し上田氏から冬木氏に改姓）より過去帳および系図の提供を受けたことにより、一族全体を把握することができた。これらの資料から冬木屋三代目弥平次（政郷）と英一蝶筆「仏涅槃図」（ボストン美術館蔵）の関係を研究した。また本家六代目から七代目当主の時期に流出した美術品の購入先である松平伊賀守家について、同家のコレクション形成を明確にした上で冬木屋旧蔵品の占める位置について考察した。１）冬木屋三代目弥平次（政郷）系図および過去帳から、妻は坂本周斎の娘であり、娘てるがいたことが確認できた。政郷は正徳二年三月に没するが、娘てるは同年正月に没していた。同じ時期、冬木屋に出入りした英一蝶により「仏涅槃図」が描かれ、さらに冬木屋が檀那となった雲林院に寄進される。寄進の背景には当時の政郷、娘てるの菩提を弔うという関係性と共に、政郷は雲林院へ大燈国師墨蹟「凩」（重要文化財　九州国立博物館蔵）を寄進した後、「仏涅槃図」を寄進している点から当時の雲林院との関係をより明確にできた。なお「仏涅槃図」の軸先は横谷宗珉によるもので、宗珉の姉は本家二代目政親の後妻であり、このような冬木屋をめぐる血縁関係が大きな比重を占めることが確認できた。２）松平伊賀守家上田藩主松平家の蔵帳に相当する資料から、同家の旧蔵品を追跡調査したところ七十八件の記述しかないものの国宝二件、重要文化財一件、重要美術品一件を含んでいた。所蔵品構成は天皇家及び将軍家からの拝領品、土浦藩主土屋家旧蔵品、冬木屋上田家旧蔵品となる。冬木屋旧蔵品の入手では大名物唐物茶入「冬木絃付」（個人蔵）、藤原定家筆二首懐紙（泉屋博古館蔵）等が確認できた。本研究によって冬木屋から流出した道具を入手した松平不昧以外に、「冬木絃付」を入手していた松平伊賀守も当時の茶の湯文化史において重要な人物であることが確認された。
