Due to the changing situation with travel possibilities and research, in the 2022-3 academic year the project could progress with some success, albeit with an adapted path. In the original plan for the project, attending several European conferences was central to the development and dissemination of research. This was also relevant to the focus on CLIL and CEFR. In an adapted project plan, it was possible to present at the World CLIL conference (Hague, Netherlands, July 2022) delivering a live presentation in hybrid form. However, being an online participant did not allow for meeting with international colleagues. Presenting in person at the JALT conference (Fukuoka, Japan, November, 2022) was more effective in building research connections. At both conferences, presentations focused on the development of teaching materials for literature and language learning (CLIL) courses using CEFR descriptors. Original plans to interview teachers at various institutions had to be adapted and in the 2022 year the research focused instead on development of materials for teaching using literature, with teacher-researcher reflection on the process of teaching using effective contemporary methods.
