昨年度に引き続き，リサーチアシスタントに依頼して，新聞データベースや各社のウェブサイトから各報道機関（読売・NNN，朝日，毎日，日経，産経・FNN，NHK，JNN，ANN，くわえて過去に独自の週次調査を実施していたフジテレビ系列の報道2001）の世論調査の内閣支持率と政党支持率に関する結果および調査方法に関する情報を収集してもらい，本研究課題で主に用いる2001年4月以降の調査に関しては，ほとんどの報道機関についてダブルチェックまで終わらせることができた。2001年3月以前についても，2021年度に着手していた分に加えて，産経・FNNについても収集を進めた。収集したデータによって週単位の内閣支持率を推定し，死刑の執行との関係を分析したところ，内閣支持率が上昇傾向にあるタイミングで死刑が執行されやすいという，本研究課題開始前に得ていた予備的分析の結果が維持された。その成果をもとに2023年度日本政治学会研究大会に応募し，採択された。また，旗下集結効果に関する研究については，分析をアップデートするのに先立ち，北朝鮮のミサイル発射のタイミングに関する情報を戦略国際問題研究所のデータベースと新聞データベースから，海外でのテロ事件のタイミングに関する情報をGlobal Terrorism Databaseと新聞データベースから追加収集する作業をリサーチアシスタントに行ってもらった。さらに，公明党議員の国会での発言内容が連立パートナーである自民党の支持率に左右されることを示した分析結果を，公共選択学会第26回大会でポスター報告し，それに関する論文の執筆を進めた。
