国内外における新型コロナ・ウイルスの感染状況や、円安等による出張旅費が割高になったことにより、2022年度も対面での大規模な国際イベントなどを開催する等の活動の見通しは立てにくかった。そこで、2022年度も、他の研究費を併用しつつ、オンライン・イベントを開催したり、国際会議（12月フィリピン：主催者側が費用負担した招聘出張）に出席するなどした。オンライン・イベントの例としては、シンポジウム「世界の軍事化と市民運動」（5月21日）が挙げられる。そして、こうした場に向けた（あるいはこうした場での）議論に基づきつつ、"Discrimination in “Humanitarian Disarmament”: The Case of the Arms Trade Treaty" (Keynotes Debate 2B: Humanitarian Challenges, Peaceful Habitation & Securitising the Human, 4th Biennial Conference of the African Studies Association of Africa (ASAA), Cape Town, South Africa, Online, 14 April 2022)といった学会報告や、"Racism in the Development and Humanitarian Aid and Advocacy Sector"(History of Global Arms Transfer, 14: 9-16)、「ロシア・ウクライナ戦争をめぐる言説における人種主義：歴史的・政治的背景と危険な帰結」（『海外事情』70(4):58-72）をはじめとるす論考執筆を行った。また、軍備管理・軍縮に関する教科書的な図書の編集作業を進めた。
