勤労者、事業所双方にとって、労働災害の減少、減災は非常に重要であり、国の第１３次労働災害防止計画でも、死亡者数及び死傷者数の減少を目指すことが謳われている。しかし、近年のデータでは死傷者数は依然増加の傾向を示している。労働者の高齢化という背景もあり、さらなる増加を阻止することが非常に大切である。本研究では、労働災害の潜在的なリスク要因として労働者の医薬品使用に注目する。労働者が使用する医薬品には様々なものがあるが、精神神経疾患の治療で使用する向精神薬には、鎮静など作業能力に直結する作用がある。また非常に罹患者の多いアレルギー性鼻炎の治療で用いる抗アレルギー薬（抗ヒスタミン薬）にも集中力、作業能力を低下させる薬剤がある。研究方法として、①Ｗｅｂを用いて一般人口へのアンケート調査を行う横断的研究と、②事業所の協力を得てその事業所で起こる労働災害事例の医薬品使用歴を調査し、因果関係の推定を行うコホート研究を採用している。令和４年度は、研究開始の準備期間として、①について調査するアンケート項目の選定と評価（バリデーション）、及び使用するWeb媒体の検討を行った。候補Ｗｅｂ媒体はマクロミル及び楽天インサイトとし、それぞれの長所及び短所を分析した。また、研究計画②については①の研究から抽出されたリスク想定薬物を中心に検討を行うため、まだ開始していないが、事業所の産業医、衛生管理者と協議し、データ収集の方法を検討している。
