周手術期の患者は、術後疼痛やボディイメージの混乱、退院後の生活不安など心身共に不安定な危機的状態にあり、看護師へのニーズは高い。そこで看護基礎教育においては、臨床実践能力の向上に向けた臨床実践に近い状況を想定した授業の必要性が指摘されている。一方、周手術期実習に取り組む学生にとって手術直後の場面は、生体侵襲や医療機器・ドレーン類の留置によって観察すべき項目が多く、医療の高度化や手術侵襲による急激な状態変化の対応に強い困難感や不安を感じている。さらにCOVID－１９の影響により、手術直後のICU見学など、周手術期看護にとって重要となる臨地実習の教育機会が制限されている。そこで本研究では、現実世界での経験が困難な手術後の場面を仮想現実（Virtual Reality　以下VR）の技術を用いて再現し、現実に近い臨場感のある場面を体験することで、周手術期の状況を的確に判断する臨床判断力を向上させるための学生版分岐型ストーリーVR教材の開発を行う。VRは、現実に近い没入感が得られ、学生の想像力や対応力、判断力を育むことが可能であり、さらに分岐型ストーリーは、学生の臨床判断による行為が患者にどのような影響を与えるかを省察できるため、卒業時の看護実践力を強化することができ、複雑化する医療に対応できる実践能力の向上が期待できる。2022年度は、看護基礎教育における周手術期看護の臨床判断能力やVR教育に関する国内外の文献レビューを実施し、VR教材のシナリオ作成に向けた質問紙調査内容について検討した。
