本研究はカントの晩年の思考の膨大な覚書である、彼の遺稿群（オプス・ポストゥムム）の翻訳を目指すものであるが、令和4年度は、最晩年に書き留められた第一束（ドイツ語のアカデミー版カント全集第21巻）の翻訳を進めた。本研究のメンバーは、それぞれ分担するドイツ語原書の箇所の試訳を完成し、令和4年9月にオンラインで研究会を開催した。研究会では試訳の報告発表を行い、相互に批判・推敲を行いながら討議を繰り返し、日本語訳の精度を上げた。さらに、令和5年3月には二回目の研究会をメール会議という形で開催した。第一束の草稿群の最初の部分は、80歳近いカントの健康状態が思わしくない頃に書かれたので、意味不明な箇所が多々あるし、哲学とは関係のない、日々の生活の単なるメモとみられるものも含まれている。老カントは最後の力を振り絞って、己の哲学体系を完成させようとあえいでいたのである。それは、彼が構想していたが、生前に刊行が叶わなかった著書の下書きに当たる覚書からうかがい知ることができる。彼の超越論的哲学の最終的到達点は、「主体が世界と神概念を結合する」という主観的観念論であり、そこでは神は義務を持たない「人格」としてとらえられ、神の命令としての義務に従う人間もまた世界存在者としての「人格」そのものなのである。カントはこの考えを繰り返し書き留めているが、彼は神、世界、人間を三位一体ととらえていたと言える。また、「神の中にすべてを観る」というカントの言葉は、スピノザ的に解釈されうるが、カントのほかの著作で言及されるマールブランシュなどの影響も考慮に入れる必要があるということが再認識された。
