项目摘要

監獄情報グループ（以下GIP）とは、ミシェル・フーコー、ジャン＝マリー・ドムナック、ピエール・ヴィダル＝ナケによって1971年2月に設立され、1972年末まで活動した社会運動である。それは、収監者たち自身に監獄の「耐え難い」状況を発言させ、それを社会に知らしめ、同時に、監獄システムに関わる知識人、専門家を動員することを目的としていた。この運動には、ジル・ドゥルーズ、ダニエル・ドゥフェール、ダニエル・ランシエール、ジャック＝アラン・ミレール、ジャック・ドンズロ、エレーヌ・シクスーなど、多くの知識人が関与していた。当時はポスト68年の時期に当たり、社会運動が盛んに展開されると同時に、政治活動への警察の取り締まりが厳格化されていた時期であり、そのため、学生や若者の活動家たちが大量に逮捕され、投獄されていた。彼らが大量に監獄に送られることで、それまで知られていなかった、フランスの監獄システムの暴力性、矛盾、機能不全などが社会全体に暴露されていったのである。GIPの活動は、政治囚と普通囚を連帯させ、監獄におけるそれら「耐え難いもの」を社会に知らしめることを目的として開始され、監獄における大量の囚人アンケートを出発点として、その後頻発する監獄暴動の情報収集に積極的に関与していく。今年度は、GIPが発行していた冊子『耐え難いもの』の読解、分析を通じて、GIPとフーコー思想との関係を考察した（本書は日本語に翻訳、刊行予定）。関連成果として Power and Resistance: Foucault, Deleuze, Derrida, Althusser(Verso)、『ミシェル・フーコー』（講談社）を出版した。日本におけるGIPと同様の活動として監獄人権センターがあるが、その代表の海渡雄一弁護士をフーコー研究フォーラムに招聘し、監獄人権センターの歴史と現状についてご講演いただいた。
