本研究の目的は第一に、1950-60年代に日本公開された『白雪姫』(1937)を嚆矢とするディズニー長編アニメが、 日本のアニメ文化(アニメ、マンガ、グッズ、絵本等)へ継承された実態を解明するものである。研究代表者は、口頭発表「アニメーターの戦時下・戦後―多様な画の仕事―」を行い（2022年12月10日、於神戸映画資料館）、第二次世界大戦期に活躍したアニメーターたちがW.ディズニーの影響をいかに受けながら、1950-60年代にかけて幻灯画、漫画、雑誌、グッズなど「絵を描く仕事」を手がけたか検討した。本研究の第二の目的は、1950-60年代のファンのヒアリング調査と資料分析を行い、ファン・制作・映像へ多角的に目を配る受容研究を実践することで、これまで看過されてきた1950-60年代のアニメ文化研究の空白部を埋めることにあるため、研究代表者・分担者・協力者によるヒアリング調査の分担を決め、2023年度に実施する方針を定めた。また、研究活動のさい、渡辺泰（日本アニメーション学会名誉会員、文化庁メディア芸術祭功労賞）のディズニー・コレクション資料（劇場パンフレットやファンクラブ会誌）および、日本アニメーション学会西日本支部における渡辺の講演の記録映像（32時間）を整理保存して活用するため、コレクション資料のデジタルデータおよび講演の記録映像を文字起こししたデータをメンバーで共有し、研究の展開の可能性を議論したうえで、2023年度の各自の研究方針を定めた。以上は、２回開催した研究会において実践された（2022年7月24日オンライン開催および2023年3月29日於同志社大学京田辺キャンパス）。
