2022年度は、（株）スタジオロータスに保管されていた広島国際アニメーションフェスティバル（以下、広島大会）関連資料の調査とクリヨウジ氏への聴き取り調査を実施した。（株）スタジオロータスは、広島大会の設立と運営の中核を担った故・木下蓮三氏と木下小夜子氏の活動拠点であり、ASIFA-JAPAN（国際アニメーションフィルム協会日本支部）の事務局機能と広島大会の東京事務所機能も担ってきた。ここに、広島大会を第一回大会から公認してきたASIFA(国際アニメーションフィルム協会)および共催団体であったASIFA-JAPANに関する資料、広島大会の運営に関する資料、国内外数千本の映像資料、同じく60年代から現在に至るアニメーション関連の書籍・雑誌および映画祭カタログ等が収集されていることが分かり、映像資料のデジタル化と紙資料の整理に着手した。映像資料にはVHSやDVD等の民生用メディアとβカムや35mmフィルム等の業務用メディアがあり、民生用メディアは京都芸術大学に移して保管およびデジタル化を、業務用メディアのうちビデオテープは神奈川工科大学で保管およびデジタル化のためのシステム構築を進めている。なお、フィルムは目録を作成した後に国立映画アーカイブに寄贈する予定である。映像資料の中には1985年の第一回大会を取材したテレビ番組があり、木下蓮三氏と木下小夜子氏がどの様な想いでフェスティバルを設立したか、また当時のテレビメディアがいかに高い関心を示していたか、臨場感をもって伝わってくる資料を発掘することができた。クリヨウジ氏は広島大会の設立当時を知るアニメーション作家であり木下蓮三氏の盟友である。クリ氏には彼自身と広島大会との関わりに加えて初期の広島大会に参加した著名作家の当時の動向について聴く事ができた。その内容については、研究倫理に基づく適切な手続きを経た後に公開することにする。
