项目摘要

当課題の目的である、「近代初期復讐劇の「正義」の表象の特徴的・因習的な様式が、古典に由来し、さらには現代の特定のジャンルのドラマに顕著に見られる点にも注目し、古典翻案における異同および現代にかけての連続性や変異の比較から、近代初期の特徴を検証する」ための調査を行い、論文執筆を行った。１．古代ギリシャ悲劇の正義の概念が顕著に表れた作品、およびその近代初期復讐劇への影響、および現代の映画における古典翻案における近代初期ドラマのコンベンションの影響について、論文を執筆した。この論文の元となるアイデアは、前の科研課題期間中に国際学会で口頭発表した論文において考案したが、改めて当課題において新たな分析対象を検証し、資料も追加し、章を増やして論文として進展させた。当論文は、2023年に発行予定の刊行物に収録されることが決まって受理されているが、出版計画そのものが当初の予定より遅れている。２．調査を、大英図書館およびチーニ財団の資料室にて行った。シェイクスピアが『ハムレット』の種本とした北欧伝承に関する資料、および近代初期から現代にいたるまでの間に『ハムレット』の翻案作品として受容されてきたオペラ作品やバレエ作品のリブレットを調査し、それら翻案作品と『ハムレット』や北欧伝承との共通点および相違点、変異の内容を検証した。３．上記２の調査をもとに、2023年7月に開催される国際学会で口頭発表する予定の論文を執筆した。これらの2022年度中の研究実績は、2023年度以降の課題の遂行にかかわるものであり、今後の論文のテーマにつながる論文を１と３で執筆できたこと、また、３やそれ以降の論文執筆に必要な資料を２で獲得できたことが、2022年度の成果である。
