项目摘要

本研究は15世紀フランス文学の思想史的価値の再評価を目指すものであるが、令和4年度は予定通りフランスに一年間滞在して、ENS Lyonの研究員としての研究活動およびフランス各地での講演活動や資料収集を行った。当初掲げた複数の具体的課題のうち、１．「『薔薇物語』論争」の精査、２．詩作品の翻訳、３．「死の舞踏」の資料調査が中心となった。１．については、15世紀初頭の論争資料原典を読み解くことによって、一連の論争が国王秘書官たちの文学サークルのホモソーシャルな環境に端を発することを突き止め、また、クリスティーヌ・ド・ピザンの著作『愛神の書簡』(1399)の読解を通して当時の宗教的・社会的な女性観やクリスティーヌによる反論の具体的論理を明らかにした。２．については、シャルル・ドルレアンの抒情詩のうち「老い」に関わるものを中心に翻訳に着手し、「老い」が単なる常套句に留まらず、時間の不可逆性と諦念という詩人固有のテーマに関わる切実な題材であることを発見した。３．については、クリュニー美術館や、ラ・シェーズ＝デュ修道院やシャルトル近郊のMeslay-le-Granet教会の壁画等の史跡調査を行って図像の収集を行うとともに、 Danse macabreの著者A.コルヴィジエの理論の具体的妥当性について検討を行い、身分風刺の側面に注目した。なお関連する成果として、池上忠弘・狩野晃一編『チョーサー巡礼』において「クリスティーヌ・ド・ピザン」と「シャルル・ドルレアン」についての原稿を寄稿した。この間、講演、研究会等を通して各国の研究者と十分な意見交換を行うことができ、当時のジェンダー意識形成を社会背景から考えることができた。また詩作や壁画を通した「老い」と「死」の主題についても、その集団的側面と個人主義的な表現との二面性を明らかにしつつ、その併存が15世紀文化の特徴であることを指摘した。
