近世の滑稽本・談義本に見られるオノマトペの記述的研究

项目摘要

初年度の計画通り、滑稽４作品についてオノマトペの調査を行い、データを作成した。さらに、オノマトペの特徴を整理して３本の論文にまとめることができた。まず、十返舎一九の『東海道中膝栗毛』のオノマトペについて、地の文・ト書き・セリフに分けて整理した。地の文には旅の雰囲気を表す擬音語が多いこと、ト書きには人物描写に関わる擬音語・擬態語が見られること、セリフには笑い声や唾・嘔吐の擬音語や皮膚感覚を表す擬態語が多いことが特徴である。式亭三馬の滑稽本は『浮世風呂』『浮世床』『四十八癖』の３作品からオノマトペを抽出し、作品ごとにオノマトペの特徴をまとめた。『浮世風呂』では銭湯らしい擬音語が多く、様々な人物の外見が擬態語で描写されていること、『浮世床』『四十八癖』ではセリフ部分のオノマトペが多く、人物描写の擬態語の特徴が『浮世風呂』とは異なるなど作品ごとの特徴が見られた。これらに共通して、人物の笑い声が豊富に見られること、ゲップや嘔吐などの汚い音や表情音が多いこと、三味線などの口真似が多いこと、人物描写に多用される擬態語にある種の傾向があること、オノマトペの意味が薄れて勢いの良さを表すようになった擬態語が多いこと等の傾向が見られた。以上の研究成果は、「『東海道中膝栗毛』のオノマトペ」、「式亭三馬『浮世風呂』に見られるオノマトペの特徴」、「式亭三馬『浮世床』『四十八癖』に見られるオノマトペ―『浮世風呂』との比較を交えて―」という３つの論文に発表した。
