本研究は，多文化共生社会を迎えるにあたって注目される日本語教育人材の育成という社会的課題を見据え，日本語教育を専攻する大学院生の教育実習を通した学びの実態の解明を目的とするものであり，実習前・実習中・実習後の各段階における①意識の変容，②授業準備における着眼点の変容，③授業時のパフォーマンスの変容の各側面を明らかにするとともに，④それらの変容を総合的に分析し関連を明らかにするという4つの研究課題を設定している。これらを通じて「養成」の段階で習得できるものと，次の「初任」の段階で取り組むべきことといった教員養成・研修を考えるうえで必須の段階性を明らかにし，養成現場に向けた発信を視野に入れ，研究を進めている。初年度である令和4年度は，研究課題①から③の分析の基礎資料の整備，研究課題①に関する予備的分析と成果公開，及び先行研究のレビューと成果公開を行った。まず，基礎資料の整備に関しては，研究課題①について実習生の内省資料のデータ化（電子化），研究課題②について教案資料のデータ化（電子化），研究課題③について授業録画資料のデータ化（文字化）を行った。次に，研究課題①に関する予備的分析と成果公開については，第25回ヨーロッパ日本語教育シンポジウム（於：オランダ・ライデン大学）において，「日本語教育実習における実習生の言語観・言語教育観の変容過程―教育現場の多様性に対する姿勢に着目して」として，栁田直美・太田陽子の共同発表を行った。また，先行研究のレビューと成果公開については，研究協力者の三好優花・張瀟尹・張曦冉・徐煉が2022年度日本語教育学会秋季大会（於：オンライン）において，「日本語教育実習に関する研究の動向―2010年以降を中心に―」を発表し，栁田の「日本語教育実習に関する研究の動向と展望―2010年以前を中心に―」が『一橋大学日本語教育研究』11巻に掲載された。
