データ収集において、オンラインと対面での会話の音質を向上させるために、追加の高品質マイクを購入した。会話分析と第二言語の相互作用と学習に関する国際レベルの最先端研究に関する論文集を電子ブックとして購入し、この研究プロジェクトの質を高めるために使用している。以前の「コミュニケーション英語・会話の原理」の授業内容の振返り・評価・見直しに基づいて、ワークショップと課題の資料を、コンテンツ、デザイン、英語+日本語版の点で大幅に改善し、このプロジェクトに関連する教育と学習活動の向上はすでに見られている。2023年度の学会での研究発表（５月に京都、６・７月にオーストラリアと英国）の準備として、さらに１時間分の会話データを完全な会話分析の形式で書き起こし詳細で分析した。2022年度の上記会話原理授業を実施したことにより、それの「会話録音・録画ポートフォリオ」を収集し、大多数の受講生が自分の会話データを研究目的で使用することに同意してくれた（全体20時間以上）。このデータには、日本人と留学生の間の異文化間英会話が含まれている。この授業からの過去3年間のデータは、この研究プロジェクトの分析を容易にするために、体系的に再編成および処理した。本科研に関連する教育・研究活動の質は、次の学会活動に参加したことで大きな恩恵を受けた：2022年 5月に東京で開催された「CAN-Asia 第5回L2インタラクション・シンポジウム」、3回の「CAN-Kanto」データセッション研究会（4・9月：オンライン、3月：早稲田大学）。
