英語詩を中心として英語文学読解時の脳の賦活を実証的に調査した先行研究を収集・整理し、調査で必要となる事柄について確定を行った。まず、脳機能計測装置で測定する部位の確定を行った。具体的には、側頭葉前方、下前頭回、背外側前頭前野近辺を主なターゲットとすることとした。これらの部位は母語での詩の読解で強く賦活することが報告されている。さらに、事後インタビューで調査参加者に尋ねる事柄についても選定を行った。具体的には、調査中に読んだ作品に関して、難しさ、理解できた度合い、面白さ、芸術性、好き嫌い、を尋ねることとした。英語詩読解時の賦活とこられの指標との関連性について分析を行う。また調査材料として用いるテクストのジャンルを英語俳句に限定することとした。本研究では英語俳句の下位分類間で読解時に脳の賦活で何らかの違いが見られるかどうかを調査したい。現在のところ、「文脈」と「その文脈内で行った動作」が並置されたタイプの作品（context-action haiku）と、日常生活ではあまり並置されないものが並べられたタイプの作品（haiku of juxtaposition）の比較を考えている。また、事務的な作業として、調査機器の業者と具体的な調査日時の打ち合わせを行った。さらに、学内倫理審査委員会に本研究の実施を申請し、了承の判定を受けた。加えて、同意書など調査で必要となる書類の作成も行った。加えて、調査方法の素案を策定した。本研究は当初は脳機能計測装置を中心としながら、補助的に視線計測装置も併用してデータを取ることを予定していた。しかしながら、予算の関係で折り合いをつけることができなかったため、今回は脳機能計測装置のみを使用した調査にすることとした。また、前回の科研プロジェクト（19K00790）の調査で生じた問題なども振り返り、その対応策の検討も行った。

The investigation of the previous research project (19K 00790) resulted in the problem of vibration and the investigation of the corresponding policy.
