2022年度は、研究代表者と分担者とで合計4回の研究会を開催した。第1回は6月11日に開催し今後の研究方針を議論した。第2回以降はそれぞれが分担するテーマに即して具体的な研究報告を行った。第2回は10月15日、山本真「戦後台湾における基層民生建設運動―台北県木柵郷と台南県七股郷の事例を中心に―」、第3回は1月8日、前野清太朗「初期植民地台湾の水利と「地方自治」――台湾総督府文書にみる」、第4回は3月5日、洪郁如「1960年代台湾の南部地域医療と地方エリート」であった。これらの報告は、研究代表者と分担者が今後取り組む分担テーマのひな形となる。当科研での研究の方向性を検討し、さらに研究に関する情報を共有する上で有意義であった。国内での資料収集と台湾での調査の概況は以下のようである。2022年度夏季休暇時期は、日本だけでなく台湾でも新型コロナが流行していたために、台湾に渡航して資料調査を実施することが困難であった。その状況がいくぶん緩和された2022年の秋以降、洪郁如は11月10日～11月18日にかけて、(1)台湾歴史博物館にて日本統治期をルーツとする農村改良運動について資料調査した。(2)戦後初期の台南民衆レベルの医療状況について、台南の医療関係者および成功大学歴史学科の医療史を専門とする学者と意見交換を行った。前野は、2023年2月10日～17日に台湾に渡航し、国家図書館での資料調査などを実施した。山本は台湾に留学している大学院生に科研費から謝金を支払い現地の新聞資料の収集を委託し、それを分析した。加えて、3月16日から22日かけて国会図書館関西館に赴き、本科研に関する台湾関係の資料、とくに台南の地方文献、1950年代から60年代に基層民生建設の対象となった塩村に関する資料を収集した。
