今年度は社宅のデータベースを作る作業を行った。東京の社宅の数は，バブル経済崩壊直後の1990年代半ばにピークがある。一方で，デジタル化された住宅地図データは1997年のものから利用できる。ピークからの変化を分析するため，社宅数のピークに近い1997年の社宅のデータベースを作ることとした。対象地域は東京23区とし，1997年の住宅地図より，社宅を抽出した。最初に，建物名に「寮」，「社宅」，「職員住宅」，「社員住宅」，「宿舎」などの言葉が含まれている建物を属性検索で抽出した。その後，学生寮や商店，宗教施設，福祉施設，個人宅など，社宅ではない建物を一軒一軒確認して除外した。さらに，「～省～宿舎」など建物名から社宅の所有者が分かるものについては，所有者のデータを付加した。その結果，1997年の社宅の数はおよそ8,400軒となった。そのうち，国や自治体などの公的機関の社宅はおよそ1,900軒であった。以上，1997年の社宅データを整備することで，今後は，社宅の変化を分析することができる。今後は，1997年の社宅をベースとして，2003年，2008年，2013年，2016年，2020年の建物とそれぞれ重ね合わせる。重なった建物の名称を確認し，社宅とそれ以外の建物に分類する。この作業を通して，1997年時点の社宅が，1）いつまで残っているか，2）変化した場合はどのような建物に変わったのか，という2点を分析する。
