本年度は，ウェブ検索や国内国外の諸機関への訪問に基く文献資料や写真資料等の収集と，国際学会での発表のためのアブストラクトの執筆，およびそれに基づく論文原稿の執筆を行った。国内出張先は国立国会図書館等であり，国外出張先はロンドン（British Library, Bank of England Museum, Sir John Soane's Museum等），フランクフルト（Historisches Museum Frankfurt, Staedel Museum等），マインツ（Gutenberg Museum）であり，いずれも研究テーマに関して有益な資料を収集することができた。本年度末には，2023年6月にイタリア・ミラノで開催予定のIGU（国際地理学連合）のテーマ会議“The Ocean and Seas in Geographical Thought”における地理学史コミッション主催のセッション“Liquid worlds: historical geographies and cartographies of the sea”での発表を目指して，“Representing a maritime empire: allegorical artworks at the East India House in London, 1729-1799”と題するアブストラクトを投稿してアクセプトされた。並行して，フルペーパーとして論文を執筆中である。また，関連する業績として，丸善出版刊行の『地理学事典』に「社会地理学とは」が掲載された。
