研究課題である「弁護士の中立公正義務の理論的分析」について，その研究成果の一部を筑波ロー・ジャーナル33号（2022年12月）（筑波大学大学院人文社会ビジネス科学学術院ビジネス科学研究群法学学位プログラム・同法曹専攻発行，筑波ロー・ジャーナル編集委員会編集）225頁～249頁において，公表した。その内容は，冒頭に問題意識と結論の概要（弁護士法1条の誠実義務との関係を含む。）を述べた上で，導入として，弁護士の中立公正をめぐる懲戒事例を挙げて，その中から問題意識・検討課題を抽出し，中立公正さが問題となる場面は利益相反が問題となる場面であることを論じ，それを踏まえて，利益相反が問題となる場面についてドイツ，ＥＵ，米国の弁護士法規がいずれも「依頼者」を基点としていることを確認し，抽象的な概念である中立公正を「依頼者」を基点として類型化することを試みたものである。本研究の目的は，弁護士の中立公正義務の根拠と内実について，主に弁護士の職務の公正を利益相反規制の根拠とするドイツ，ＥＵ，英国の法規制と比較しながら，その具体的事例をとおして，職務の公正性・中立性を明らかにし，これが我が国の弁護士の中立公正義務の内実にどのように影響するのかを分析・検討するものであるところ，上記研究成果は同目的に適う研究の端緒として位置づけられ，向後，類型ごとに具体的な検討を行う作業に入る予定であることから，研究実施計画は着実に実現しつつある。弁護士の中立性や公正性の根拠や内実については，誠実義務の理解との関係を含めて，いまだ積極的な理論的分析がなされていない。新たな職域に進出する弁護士に求められる倫理や法規制を検討する基礎となることが期待される。
