项目摘要

2022年度の研究課題のうち、竹山道雄と林健太郎の関連文献の収集・読解に重点的に取り組んだ。具体的には、1950年代から60年代半ばにかけて、『心』『自由』『新潮』等の雑誌に掲載された論稿に加え、両者が参加した座談会について読解を進めた。同時に、日本の保守主義を主題としたアンソロジーの解説である、林健太郎「現代における保守と自由と進歩」（同編『現代日本思想大系35 新保守主義』筑摩書房、1963年）・橋川文三「日本保守主義の体験と思想」（同編『戦後日本思想大系7 保守の思想』筑摩書房、1968年）・中島岳志「戦後日本と保守」（同編『リーディングス戦後日本の思想水脈7 　現代への反逆としての保守』岩波書店、2017年）について検討を加え、戦後思想における保守主義の研究動向に関する整理を行った。さらに、「反共知識人」と目されていた竹山と林の思想を考察する前提として、近現代日本におけるマルクス主義の知的影響力に関する研究にも着手した。研究成果の一部は、①国士舘大学政治研究所での研究報告（「戦後思想における保守主義研究―『戦後日本の思想』と二つのアンソロジーを手がかりに―」2022年10月18日）、②山口輝臣・福家崇洋編『思想史講義【戦前昭和篇】』（ちくま新書、2022年）で公表した。①では、中島編を除く2冊のアンソロジーの解説を手がかりに、1950年代後半から60年代における日本の保守主義の思想について概観した。②では、大正・昭和戦前期にマルクス主義の対抗構想となり得たギルド社会主義について、自由と社会主義との関連という観点に注目しながら考察した。
