2022年度は①中国側資料の調査と集積を進め、②敗戦直後の沖縄社会と沖縄戦から戦後にかけての沖縄米軍基地の専門家と意見交換し、③国務省側の行政文書から米軍余剰物資の処分に関する動向をまとめる作業に着手した。また、④勝連半島におけるチャイナ部隊関係地を訪問し、定点観測するとともに中国側資料班の活動に協力してくれる琉球大学の学生を対象としたフィールドワークも行った。①については、2022年9月から在台湾の若手研究員の協力を得ることができ、台湾の国立歴史博物館などを中心に、沖縄に駐留した中華民国憲兵隊に関する情報や行政院の資材供給局（BOSEY）に関する資料の調査と収集を進めた。一部は中国側資料班が日本語の抄訳を作成し研究会メンバーで共有したが、現在は主に資料の集積と整理が行われており、本格的な読解は次年度以降の課題となる。②については、2023年1月に沖縄戦研究の大家である吉浜忍先生と沖縄の米軍基地について総合的に調査している林博史先生を招聘してオンライン研究会を行い、これまでの研究成果を報告するとともに、両先生と意見交換を行った。③は2022年10月より米軍側資料班のメンバーで、国務省在外精算委員会が米議会に四半期に1回提出していたReport to Congressを1946年提出のものから読み進める作業に着手した。Okinawa/Ryukyu/Chinaに関する記述を中心に情報を整理しつつ、太平洋の島嶼地域全体への広がりも視野に入れて、当時の余剰物資の規模や分布、米国と他の国々との譲渡に関する提携状況を整理している。④は、2023年1月に実施した。研究メンバー数名で琉球大学の大学院生を引率し、勝連半島のチャイナ部隊跡地を再訪した。2019年のフィールドワーク以来の訪問であり、チャイナ部隊の跡地の現状を写真に記録した。

In 2022, the Ministry of State started to conduct research and accumulation of data on the China side, exchange of views among various families of the Chongqing military base after the defeat, and conduct of operations related to the disposition of surplus military resources. The University of the Ryukyus has a team of students working together on a number of projects. (1) In September 2022, the cooperation of some researchers in Taiwan was obtained. The National Museum of History of Taiwan was located in the center of the Republic of China Military Police Force. Information and data collection related to the Bureau of Materials Supply of the Executive Yuan (BOSEY) were carried out. A part of the China side data class to copy the Japanese language to create a joint research meeting, the main data collection to organize the line, the main solution to the next year to reduce the problem 2. In January 2023, Mr. Yoshihiro Yoshihiro and Mr. Hayashi conducted a comprehensive investigation on the research of the Japanese military base, and Mr. Hayashi recruited and conducted a research meeting to report on the research results.③ In October 2022, the Ministry of State submitted a Report to the Congress in the fourth half of the year.
