人々はそのライフサイクルにおいて、家庭による教育等で人的資本を形成して労働に従事し、新たな家庭を築き次の世代を育てていく。このプロセスの円滑な進行は、個々人の厚生のみならず、持続的成長等のマクロ経済的観点からも重要である。本研究の主な目的は、こうした視点から人々のライフサイクルにおける雇用・労働と家族関係の相互作用を経済学的に分析することであり、令和４年度には以下の２プロジェクトを探求した。Julen Esteban-Pretel氏（ニューヨーク市立大学クイーンズカレッジ准教授）との我が国の非正規雇用についての共同研究では、以前より取り組んできた正規雇用・非正規雇用の別を導入した労働サーチ・マッチング・モデルの構築を引き続き進めるとともに、日本の非正規雇用の特質につきデータ分析を通じて理解を深めた。また、1980年代以降の日本の非正規雇用につき概括した発表済ディスカッションペーパーのEsteban-Pretel and Fujimoto (2021)を国際学術雑誌に投稿すべく、改訂作業を進めた。David Lagakos氏 (ボストン大学准教授)及びMitchell VanVuren氏（イエール大学ポストドクトラルアソシエート）との発展途上国における親の所得と子の教育水準の関係に関する共同研究では、ガーナの高校無償化政策のマクロ経済学的効果に関する論文につき、モデルを用いた新たな数値シミュレーションや、モデルの分析結果の検証のための現地でのサーベイを実施した。それらを基に改訂を行い、論文完成に向け大きく前進した。＜参考文献＞Esteban-Pretel, J. and J. Esteban-Pretel and Fujimoto (2021), a summary of informal employment in Japan since the 1980s, is a contribution to the International Academic Journal. David Lagakos (Joint research on the relationship between parents 'income and children's educational standards in China on the way to development and the effect of university free policies on social economics.
