本研究の目的は，計算貨幣論に関する歴史的な考察を深めてきた3学派（バーミンガム学派，ポスト・ケインズ学派，マルクス学派）の一次資料を主要な検討対象として，テキスト解釈の積み重ねによる質的分析と「計量テキスト分析」（テキストマイニング）による量的分析とを行い，「計算貨幣論はどのように受け継がれてきたのか」を，各学派の計算貨幣論の理解と相互関係を立体的に再構成することを通じて明らかにすることにある。第1に，バーミンガム学派の計算貨幣論の受容過程，理論的政策的な展開過程を分析する。第2に，ポスト・ケインズ学派の計算貨幣論の形成に貢献した主要文献を分析する。第3に，『資本論』関連草稿の通時的分析を通じて，マルクスの計算貨幣論に対する評価の変遷を剔出する。以上の質的・量的分析を通じて，現代の貨幣論の多様性がどのように形成されてきたのかを解明する。令和4（2022）年度の研究実施計画は，（1）バーミンガム学派の膨大な一次資料のリスト化とデジタルデータ化，文献調査・収集，（2）ポスト・ケインズ学派の計算貨幣論に関連する文献のテキストデータ化，（3）マルクス資本論とその主要草稿（MEGA第II部門）のテキストデータの作成と計量テキスト分析の実施である。本年の計画のひとつの難所であるマルクスの文献のテキストデータの作成と計量テキスト分析を実施し，その成果をディスカッションペーパーにまとめ，複数の研究会で発表した（3）。計量テキスト分析の結果から，従来の質的分析の一解釈として定着していた弁証法的に体系化された理解とは異なる用語の関係が示唆された。また，ポスト・ケインズ学派の貨幣論関連文献のテキストデータの作成と計量テキスト分析の試論的な成果もディスカッションペーパーで発表した（2）。これらの研究成果を通じて，計量テキスト分析を実施する際の作業手順や分析ツールの理解を深めることができた。
