项目摘要

まず、本研究全体が目指すべき目標について記しておきたい。本研究が主たる対象としているアイドルとは、国際的にも広く認知された、日本社会に特徴的なメディア文化現象である。本研究は50年にも及ぶその歴史と社会的背景を、「限界芸術論」を援用し、文化産業論とファン文化論を架橋した視座から体系的に解明しようとするものである。そのために、具体的には一次／二次資料を広く収集し検討しつつ、文化産業／ファン文化双方の当事者に対するオーラルヒストリーの聞き取りを行い、さらにはグローバルな規模のファンを対象にした国際比較アンケート調査を行う予定である。加えて、継続的な議論の場の構築を目指して、これらの資料と知見を整理したアーカイブを構築・公開し、関係諸機関や団体（ファンクラブ、芸能プロ、図書館など）とともに体系的・継続的な議論を行う場の整備を進めながら、アイドルというメディア文化の未来への展望を切り開いていくことを企図している。残念ながら、科研費申請額と比べて実際の交付額においては一定の減額があったため、いくつかのプロジェクトは断念しつつも、上記したような骨子は維持しながら、研究を進めていく予定である。大きな計画としては、資料収集及びにその検討、さらにはオーラルヒストリー研究については毎年度、国際比較アンケート調査については最終年度に、それぞれ中心的に行う予定である。ただし一年目に当たる2022年度は、依然として新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大の影響もやや残っていたため、一部予定通りに進みづらかった内容もあり、今後も含めて、適宜状況に合わせて、柔軟に研究を進めていく予定である。
