2022年度は、（１）長期入院経験者に対するインタビュー調査、（２）アンケート調査に向けた準備、（３）先駆的実践を行っている地域の視察を行った。（１）長期入院経験者に対するインタビュー調査：相談支援事業所の相談支援専門員に協力してもらい、長期入院経験者へのインタビュー調査を、２月、３月に実施した。インタビュー調査では、入院中に相談支援専門員と一緒に行ったこと、一緒にしたことの中で印象に残ったこと、退院後の支援でうれしかったことなどについて語っていただいた。インタビューデータは、データ起こしを行い、修正版グラウンデッド・セオリー・アプローチを用いて分析を行う予定である。（２）アンケート調査に向けた準備：アンケート調査のための準備として、精神障害者の退院支援において先駆的な実践を行っている地域の相談支援事業者に対して、調査員として活動してくれるピアスタッフの紹介、調査対象者の確保、調査票へのコメントを依頼した。調査について了解を得て、ピアスタッフの確保についてもご協力いただけることになった。しかし、この圏域では、長年にわたる退院支援並びに生活支援の結果、既に多くの方が退院して地域生活を過ごしており、近年では、長期入院経験者の障害福祉サービスの利用が少なくなってきている（介護保険サービスへ移行している）との説明があった。（３）先駆的実践を行っている地域の視察：今回視察を行った地域では、1970年代半ばから病院PSWを中心に長期入院を強いられた人の人生を取り戻す生活支援に取り組み、彼らの思いを実現するための資源を一つずつ開拓していった。居住資源として一般下宿を活用したり、駅や図書館、市民交流プラザなどに精神障害者が働く場所を作ったりすることで、精神保健福祉サービスに過度に依存せずとも生活ができる環境が整備されていた。
