项目摘要

少子高齢化の進行とともに団塊の世代が「後期高齢者」となる大介護時代に突入する一方で、高齢者のみ世帯が一般的になる中、在宅居住の継続が大きな課題となっている。今年度は、高経年かつ居住者の高齢化が進む郊外住宅団地において、高齢者の在宅居住継続を支える近居親子世帯の生活共同化と居住環境を解明するため、高齢者世帯を対象にしたアンケート調査に加えてインタビュー及び住宅調査を行い、住環境改善経歴と近居子世帯との生活共同化の実態に関するデータを採取した。本調査の目的は、地域社会の支え合い活動や、近居家族の支援が果たす役割に焦点をあてて、エイジング・イン・プレイスを実現するための基礎的資料を得ることである。具体的には以下の3点を明らかにした。①高齢者の住空間や地域生活の実態、②別居子世帯との交流関係から、別居子世帯が高齢者の在宅生活を支えている役割、③高齢者の外出や地域活動への参加状況とその効果。高経年郊外戸建て住宅地における 65 歳以上のいる世帯の多くが子世帯と近居し、「お互いの顔を見る」「おしゃべり」「会食」等を目的として頻繁に行き来しており、子世帯との時間距離が近いほど日常的交流が多い。多くの高齢者世帯が、近隣の人と挨拶から相互扶助まで様々な日常的な交流関係をもって生活していることが確認された。団地内外の諸活動に参加する高齢者も少なくなく、団地内の諸活動や健康・スポーツ、文化活動には女性の方が、団地外の社会活動には男性の方が参加率が高かった。住み続けるためには、同居、近居の子世帯はとても支えになると認識されており、また近隣の見守りも支えになると思っている人が多いことが分かった。
