项目摘要

１年目は、被験者（児童２名）を用いた、赤白帽着用時の運動中における帽子内温湿度変化の計測、同じく深部体温の計測評価を試みた。その結果、先行研究では表面温度の状況しか明らかにされていなかったが、内側の温度の上昇も赤面の方が高温になることが確認された。当初はアンケート調査を３年目に行う予定であったが、保護者に対する意識調査を１年目に行った。理由としては、研究１年目にあたる2022年は、各地で観測史上最高気温を更新し、特に2022年6月には東京都心の6月観測史上最高36.2度を記録したり、翌7月には6地点の同時に観測史上最高気温を記録するなど、５月以降の暑熱環境は深刻化しており、本研究の知見が社会に役立てられる可能性が益々高まっている。さらには、同じ年に、今後数年以内に地球全体の気温が１．５℃以上上昇する可能性が指摘（GCP：グローバル・カーボン・プロジェクト）されるなど、暑熱環境は毎年深刻になることは確実と思われることから、保護者への啓発・教育を含めたアンケート調査（N=500）を初年度に行い、帽子作成の参考資料とするためのデータを早めに収集することに計画を一部前倒しし改めた。小学生の子どもを持つ親（父親250名、母親250名）に対する調査の結果、７割程度の親は熱中症に関心や懸念を持っているが、その対策としては「こまめな水分補給」が圧倒的に多かった（約７割）ことや、特に熱中症対策を心がけていない親（無関心層）も見られた。本研究が着目している「帽子」や「着衣」については、関心度が低かったが、研究知見に関する情報とともに提示した設問では、約8割の親が「赤白帽は可能な限り高温にならない安全な色や素材に改めるべき」と回答した。
