本研究においては、①養護教諭にとって意義のある教職専門科目とはどのようなものか、ならびに②養護教諭養成における教職入門科目の内実がどのようになっているかを明らかにすることを通して、養護教諭養成に特化した教職科目がどのような形をとるべきか、また、それを実現するにはどのような科目の内容や方法を設定するとよいのかを解明したいと考えている。本年度は「優れた養護教諭の規定要因に関する考察－専門性と職務をめぐる言説を中心に」（第74回中国四国教育学会大会, 香川大学 2022.12.4.）を発表するとともに、その成果を学術論文「優れた養護教諭の規定要因に関する考察－専門性と職務をめぐる言説を中心に」（『教育学研究紀要（CD-ROM版）』第68巻）にまとめた。主な結果として、養護教諭の専門性のカテゴリは①連携：校内教職員や校外の組織・専門職と連携協力して課題解決にあたること、②支援：支援行為全般（健康指導・保健教育に限らない）、③コミュニケーション：養護教諭から児童・生徒への働きかけ、④情報収集・発信、⑤寄り添い：子どもへ寄り添う行為（支援に近いが、「寄り添う」と記述されたものはこちら）、⑥課題発見・判断：子どもの健康に関する課題を見つける。その課題の大きさや対処を判断すること、⑦養護（学）：「養護」という表現を使っているもの、⑧健康や医療、ケアの知識・技能、⑨研究、⑩融合的・複合的知識：複数の学問知を駆使して業務を行うこと、⑪行動説明：自分の行った養護実践について根拠にもとづいた説明をすること、⑫その他、となった。カテゴリ別にカウントを行った結果、最も多く記述が現れたカテゴリは⑥「課題発見・判断」、次に①「連携」であった。養護教諭養成に特化した「教職論」のあり方を模索する前段階として、優れた養護教諭にはどのような専門性が求められるのかを検討した上述の研究は重要な進捗といえる。
