計画の初年度となる本年度は、①先行研究のレビューと、②熟達した職員に対する面接調査を通して今後の研究に向けた作業仮説を生成した。情動コンピテンス（EC）の中でも、認知症ケアの実践では、入居者の欲求や感情を相手の視点に立って理解することが重要な課題となる。この社会的な視点取得に関するECに焦点を当てて研究を進める。まず①の作業を通して、心理学の領域では、視点取得を支える個人の性格や能力の研究が数多くあり、いわゆる共感性と呼ばれる性格特性や、心の理論と呼ばれる認知能力が大きな注目を集めていることが明らかになった。これらの比較的安定した個人特性が注目されていることに比して、経験を通して獲得あるいは喪失する知識、技能、態度や、それらの獲得を支える環境についての研究は比較的手薄であることが併せて確認された。これらの獲得可能な要因をリソースと表記し、ECを支えるリソースや、リソースを形成・維持することに寄与する職場環境について仮説を生成することにした。①②の作業を通してECを支えるリソースを個別的知識系、スキーマ系、態度系の３系統に分類した。個別的知識系とは相手の言動を観察・傾聴するスキル、ならびに生活史など相手の個性を表す情報である。スキーマ系とは認知症の行動と心理症状がいかに生起するのかという因果律を記述した一般的知識である。態度系とは入居者への肯定的感情、入居者やケアに関する肯定的期待、入居者をケアしようとする行動意図など、職員が入居者と関わることを動機づける要因である。これらのリソースにより視点取得が支えられているであろう、また研修機会や職員間のサポートが十分に提供される職場環境ではこれらのリソースは豊潤化し、職員のECは向上するであろうとの仮説を生成した。来年度以降は質的／量的調査を併用して本仮説を精緻化し、その妥当性を検証していく。
