本年度は研究の初年度として、①研究会の開催、②那覇市の牧志公設市場およびガーブ川水上店舗の史料収集と調査・研究、③函館市の中島廉売商店街の実測調査と史料収集を行った。①の研究会では本研究課題の進め方や、②の調査内容や各自の研究の進捗状況について発表し、議論を行った。②については既に前年度に行っていた実測調査の結果をまとめるとともに、国立国会図書館、沖縄県立図書館、沖縄県公文書館などで史料を収集した。実測調査は本研究課題に先立ち行っていたものだが、研究を構想する過程で行われたもので、密接に関連するものである。③については11月中旬に函館市の中島廉売商店街について実測調査と史料調査を行った。成果として、既に投稿していた闇市に関する総論的な論文がアメリカ都市史学誌に掲載された（査読付き、https://doi.org/10.1177/00961442221078912）。また②の成果として日本建築学会計画系論文集に二本の査読論文を投稿した（採用決定済み）。このほか同学会都市史小委員会シンポジウム「物質性が示す都市のかたちとイメージ」において「仮設建築の物質性　那覇市牧志公設市場界隈とガーブ川水上店舗の形成」と題した発表を行った（2月18日）。以上では、仮設的な建築の多様なあり方を確認したうえで、それらが地形や行政に規定される一方で、逆に物質性を介して地形や行政の前提を書き直し、追認させていくような両者の相互的な関係を見出した。那覇市の事例では女性中心・小規模性といった戦前以来の特徴が、戦後に別の場所で発生した闇市や商店街にも見出せ、戦前からの長いスパンで捉え直す必要を示していた。また函館市の事例では函館大火後に新たな商店街が発生しており、同様の例が他都市でも見出せることから、災害が商店街誕生の一種普遍的な契機になっていることを示唆している。

This year, we conducted three research activities: (1) Research conference,(2) Historical data collection and research of shops in Nagoya City, and (3) Historical data collection and research of shops in Hakodate City. (1) The research meeting shall discuss the progress of this research topic,(2) the investigation content and the progress of their respective research, and (3) the discussion shall be conducted. The results of the survey conducted in the previous year were collected by the National Assembly Library, the National Library of Chongqing, and the National Public Library. The investigation was conducted in advance of this research topic, and the process of research and speculation was carried out in close connection with each other. 3. In mid-November, Hakodate City's Nakajima shopping district was surveyed and historical data was collected. The results of this paper are published in the Journal of Urban History (https://doi.org/10.1177/00961442221078912). The results of the two research papers were submitted to the Japanese Architectural Society Project Collection (adopted decision). The Committee on Urban History of the Alumni Association of the People's Republic of China held a discussion on the topic of "The formation of the physical market of the city"(February 18). The relationship between the two sides of the building is confirmed, and the terrain and administrative requirements are confirmed. The case of the city is that the characteristics of the female center, the small-scale nature and the past, the emergence of different places, the emergence of the dark city and the shopping street, the emergence of the long-term nature and the need to catch up with it. The case of Hakodate City is a common opportunity for the emergence of a new shopping street after the Hakodate fire.
