1.有限体係数多項式の数論を用いて、周期2^<19937>-1,623次元均等分布性をもつ、コンパクトで高速な疑似乱数発生法Merssene Twisterを提唱し、C および Fortranプログラムとして実現した。これは、世界的に利用が進んでいる。2.分散システム上で使用するために、同一プログラムで異なる初期値を使用した場合の性質を調べた。3.独立な乱数を生成するため、性質の良いパラメータをできるだけ多数求めておくことが望ましい。しかし、パラメータ探索には長時間かかるため、探索アルゴリズムの検討を行った。4.2元体上線形な次状態関数をもつ簡単なセルオートマトンが、極大周期m系列になるための条件を調べた。これにより、周期2^<859433>-1のセルオートマトンが容易にインプリメントでき、LSIのセルフテストに有用ではないかと思われる。
