项目摘要

後水尾院の幡枝御茶屋・岩倉御茶屋について、その位置・沿革・建物等を検討した。判明した諸点は次の通りである。(1)幡枝御茶屋は、従来円通寺(京都市左京区岩倉幡枝町)がその跡であるとされていたが、誤りであって、旧幡枝村のうち木野(左京区岩倉木野町)に位置した。(2)幡枝御茶屋は遅くとも慶安2年(1649)には存在し、漢文12年(1672)に近衛家に下賜され、以後明治まで近衛家が所有した。(3)幡枝御茶屋には、「寿月観」と呼ばれる御殿と「鷺聴亭」と呼ばれる御茶屋、山上に位置する「邇遐」の、3棟の建物が存在したが、漢文12年にはすでに失われていた。このうち寿月観は、修学院離宮に同じ名の御茶屋があり、移築された可能性がある。(4)岩倉御茶屋は、明暦2年(1656)頃御殿が造られ、女三宮の山荘として整備された。御殿は少なくとも延宝7年(1679)まで存続し、敷地は宝永5年(1708)以降岩倉住の山本家の管理となった。(5)岩倉御茶屋の敷地は、2棟の御殿が建つ部分と万年岡から成り、御殿の敷地は京都市左京区岩倉忠在地町の岩倉川東岸、万年岡はその西に位置した。(6)岩倉御茶屋には、2棟の御殿と、万年岡の御茶屋の、少なくとも3棟の建物が存在したが、いずれも宝暦5年までに失われた。このうち後水尾院御殿については、林丘寺書院として現存する可能性がある。
