2022年年度は、2024年1月の博士論文予備審査申請を念頭に、博士論文計画書の草案作成に向けて資料の収集と多読を中心に研究を行った。その中で、研究軸となり得る重要な文献については精読を行った。また、2022年秋に行われた2つの学術大会における報告を軸として、R・H・トーニーに関する第1資料および第2資料や、キリスト教社会主義に関する書籍・論文の収集と精読を中心に行い、基本文献の読み込みと参考文献リストの充実に力を注いだ。具体的には以下の2つである。1 社会思想史学会 第47回大会「R・H・トーニー『平等論』の背景：イギリス福祉国家揺籃期の社会思想」2 人体科学会 第32回大会「初期イギリス福祉国家におけるキリスト教社会主義」11月にはオックスフォード大学ベリオール校で開かれた、ウィリアム・テンプル財団主催のオックスフォード大学ベリオール校におけるシンポジウムRe-Envisioning the British State in a Time of Crisis: A Critical Revisiting of the Balliol Connection of Temple, Tawney & Beveridge for the 21st Centuryに、日本のトーニー研究従事者としてお誘いを受け会議に参加し、ベリオール校校長先生はじめ、トーニー研究者、テンプル研究者等のイギリスの福祉国家研究に関わる研究者たちとのアカデミックな交流を深めることができた。年明けから最近は、キリスト教社会主義について、トーニーと日本の賀川豊彦との比較によって福祉国家の思想的土台について考察するため、どのような方法論を採用すべきかを検討中である。
