本年度は、運動場面の意思決定におけるリスク態度の主観評価と客観評価の間の差異について検討した。具体的には、先行研究で示されてきた運動場面でのリスク志向バイアスがリスクを取ろうとする主観的な態度によるものか検討した。結果として、客観的なリスク態度と主観的なリスク態度がよく一致し、自由に選択する場面では、リスクを主観的にとろうとした結果として客観的なリスク志向バイアスが存在することが示された。これらの結果から、人がリスク態度に関してほぼ最適な計算をできるものの、戦略的選好によってリスク志向バイアスが生じる可能性が考えられた。また、同様の運動意思決定課題において、チャンスの回数がリスク志向バイアスにどのような影響を与えるかを調査した。具体的には、同じ運動意思決定課題をおこなう中で、チャンスの回数を実験的に操作した。結果として、チャンスが1回しかない場合は、チャンス数が多い場合に比べ、よりリスクを回避した行動が選択されることがわかった。このようなチャンスの回数に応じた行動変容を説明するために、チャンスの数による結果の変動性を考慮した意思決定モデルを提案した。この発見は、運動意思決定においてチャンス数が考慮すべき重要な変数であることを示す証拠を提供している。加えて、運動パフォーマンスに対する確率分布表象の特徴を検討した。具体的には、反応課題を数十試行おこない、各試行で反応時間のフィードバックを受けた後に、反応時間の分布を参加者に推定させた。結果として、人は反応時間の表現において、実際の分布よりも広い分布を表現する傾向があることが示唆された。このバイアスは、確率の低い事象を過大評価し、確率の高い事象を過小評価するという、確率知覚における偏在的なバイアスと一致する。この確率表象バイアスは、自分の報酬率を最大化する行動を選択することを困難にする可能性がある。
