報告者の研究課題は「本居宣長の詩学とその思想との連関―表現論的観点から」である。申請時には当該課題を、[1]宣長の和歌解釈、[2]宣長自詠歌、及び[3] 徂徠派詩学との関連という三項目に細分化して研究を進める計画として提出した。令和4年度はこのうち[1]宣長の和歌解釈及び[3]徂徠派詩学に関する研究を主に公表したため、当該項目に関して研究実績の報告を行う。[1]宣長の和歌解釈報告者はこれまで本居宣長の和歌解釈を主に「本歌取」の側面から分析してきた。令和4年度は宣長の縁語解釈について、彼の和歌注釈の評語に基づきその分析視点を析出した。ひとつには従来「縁語」と一括されて理解されていた「かけ合」という評語に縁語を含むことばとことばの繋がりに関する宣長の認識が表されていることを指摘した。これを「宣長の「かけ合」の説ー石原正明『尾張廼家苞』を手掛かりとしてー 」(『鈴屋学会報』2022年12月、第39号)として公表した。また、評語「たたかはす」において二つの事柄を対照的に捉えようとする宣長の思考の傾向性を明らかにし、これを「若き日の宣長は和歌をどう読もうとしたか―『草庵集玉箒』をめぐって 」（宣長十講 2022年7月16日 本居宣長記念館）において発表した。[3] 徂徠派詩学本居宣長に連なる古文辞学の古典受容について、その学派の領袖である荻生徂徠の詩作を杜甫への次韻詩に基づいて分析した。そこでは韻字の意味転換は、詩全体の色調を、原詩と次韻詩とのコントラストとして際立たせる役割を担っていることを明らかにした。また、同じように原詩と次韻詩におけるコントラストとして、本歌取り的な発想に基づく物語の展開、同一詩的世界内での別の視点を描く次韻詩のあり方の可能性を提示した。これを、「荻生徂徠の杜甫次韻詩」(『樹間爽風』2023年3月、第2号)として公表した。
