项目摘要

本居宣長の古典解釈の方法を具体的に記述することを目的とする本研究において、以下の2つの研究実績を公表した。第一は、「本居宣長手沢本『新古今和歌集』における本歌書入」(『言語・地域文化研究』No.24,2018年1月)であり、本居宣長記念館所蔵の未翻刻資料である宣長手沢本『新古今和歌集』の書入本歌の部分的な翻刻である。宣長による新古今歌の注釈書『美濃の家づと』は、172首を本歌取歌として解釈しており、それらについて宣長手沢本で書入が行われている本歌、及びその他のコメントや引用文を翻刻した。翻刻した計220項目のうち、189項目が契沖による『新古今和歌集』書入と一致している。その上で『美濃の家づと』で宣長が本歌として認定したものと照合すると、契沖書入と宣長手沢本書入において一致するものの内、46項目を『美濃の家づと』では採用していない、あるいは異なる本歌を挙げて解釈を行っていることを明らかにすることができた。この結果から我々は宣長と契沖の本歌認定に対する差異を具体的に把握し得る端緒を得ることができる。第二は、2018年4月の鈴屋学会において「『草庵集玉箒』における本歌取歌解釈の諸相」として発表し、『草庵集玉箒』の評釈において宣長が本歌を指摘している九五首について、その本歌取の解釈方を析出した。その結果、（A）本歌の詞の意味内容を変容させて、新歌に利用する本歌取（B）本歌と同一の歌境に新たな趣向を加える本歌取（C）本歌の詩的世界に依拠しつつ展開を加える本歌取（D）本歌に応和する本歌取（E）心中の歌境を詠出するため本歌の詞を利用する本歌取（F）本歌の詞を同じ範疇の別の詞に置き換える本歌取（G）本歌を二首取る本歌取（H）縁語的連想による本歌取（I）本歌の趣向を変えない本歌取、以上九種の本歌取解釈を析出することができ、特に(H)、(I)が宣長に特徴的な本歌取解釈であることを示した。
