平成8年度科学研究費補助金として採用された「人間の手作業における感覚の定量的評価とその応用に関する研究」の実績は以下の通りである.1.圧力センサを利用した手作業における手の圧力分布の測定実際に道具を用いて手作業を行ったときの手に加わる圧力に分布を測定するシステムを開発した.ここでは,ハンマーを振りおろすという手作業中に,ハンマーを握る手のひらにどのような圧力が加わり,手に加わる圧力がどのように変化するかを例として測定した.具体的には,ハンマーを握る部分に圧力によって色が変化する圧力シートを貼りつけ,ハンマーを握った時のシートの色の変化をCCDカメラを用いてVTRに画像情報として取り込み,画像処理によって手の圧力分布を数値化するとともに,可視化した。また,一方でハンマーに取り付けた圧力センサーを用いて,手に加わる圧力をチャージアンプを介してデータレコーダに取り込み,ハンマーに加わる圧力変化を測定した.これらの測定システムによって,ハンマーによる加工作業中の手の圧力分布が詳細に測定された.2.加工作業における手の圧力分布の評価この研究で得られた試験結果をもとに,加工作業において重要となる工具の把握状態を定量的に評価するシステムを開発した.そして,これらの結果から,加工作業の最適化のためのシステムの検討が可能である.
