项目摘要

本研究の目的は、日本の幼児教育が小学校教育に対する独自性を獲得する画期であった1989年版幼稚園教育要領の形成過程を、戦後日本における幼児教育認識の変遷と幼児教育政策の展開過程に着目し歴史的に明らかにすることである。本年度実施した研究の概要は以下の通りである。第一に、第13期中央教育審議会（1981-1983年設置）における幼児教育の議論の内容を論文にまとめ、査読を経て『人間文化創成科学論叢』に掲載された。本論文では、1980年代前半の中教審で、幼稚園と小学校の連続性についてなど幼児教育に関する議論が一定程度なされていたものの、会期中に結論に至らなかった論点も残されたことを明らかにした。第二に、第11期・第12期中央教育審議会（1977-1981年設置）における議論の分析を行い、日本乳幼児教育学会にて発表した。発表のなかでは、中教審が生涯教育政策を検討する過程でなされた幼児教育の方向性に関する議論は、家庭の教育役割を重視する考え方と関連していたことを明らかにした。第三に、幼児教育の積極的な普及充実の方向を示す答申を作成した、第8期・第9期中央教育審議会（1967-1971年設置）関係者の幼児教育認識を明らかにするため、広島大学文書館にて「森戸辰男関係文書」の調査を行い、関連資料を収集した。第四に、1980年代における幼児教育関係者の幼児教育認識を明らかにするため、特に「幼稚園教育要領に関する調査研究協力者会議」関係者の思想に着目し、分析を進めた。

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of the formation of the principles of kindergarten education in 1989 and the evolution of the understanding of kindergarten education in Japan and the development of kindergarten education policies in Japan.
