项目摘要

2022年度は特に、ひきこもり（傾向）をめぐる新聞記事を対象に言説分析（概念分析）を行った。具体的な方法としては、1986年から2021年までの『読売新聞』と『朝日新聞』の記事上で、「ひきこもりがち・気味・傾向」という語彙を抽出し、新聞記者や専門家、支援者などによって、どのようにそれらの言葉が使用されることで、そうした人々がなにを成し遂げるに至ったのかの分析を行った。その結果、ひきこもり傾向という言葉には、社会的孤立・孤独死などの文脈における迷惑を回避するためにひきこもり傾向に至る側面（論理A）と、不登校の延長線上のひきこもりに代表されるような、ひきこもり傾向に至っていることが迷惑を構成している側面（論理B）の2つを見出した。そして、ひきこもり傾向という概念が社会的孤立問題として捉えられてきたことで、本来であればひきこもりというカテゴリーに含まれていたはずの当事者の一部が排除されていることを指摘するに至った。また、並行して、施設利用者、職員を対象にしたフィールドワーク（インタビュー調査、参与観察、資料収集）を行い、特にひきこもり経験者を中心とした日常生活の風景についての分析を成果として発表した。そこでは、フィールドワークを行った寮の住人同士（ひきこもり経験者など）が、互いの問題に介入しすぎないことが彼らにとって合理的であること、その上で、適度に自己開示が行われつつ、自己や他者の相互理解の基盤が形成されていることを明らかにした。もっとも、この分析結果は、必ずしも普通に働かなければならないといった就労規範や自立の規範を根底から覆すものではない。しかし、実態としては、必ずしもそれらの強い規範に彼らが拘束されているのではなく、緩やかにやり過ごし、先延ばしにしていることが随所に見られた。
