中世インドにおいてシヴァ教教理の体系化の過程で非常に重要な役割を果した,カシミール・シヴァ派の理論的分野を担っていた再認識(pratyabhijna)論派は,シヴァを根本原理として現象世界の全てを説明しようとする一元論哲学を構築した.本年度は,この派とサーンキヤ(Samkhya)学派との関係に焦点を当てた研究を行なった.サーンキヤ学派に特徴的な思想としては,(a)純粋精神(purusa)と根本原質(prakrti)という精神的原理と物質的原理との二元を峻別し,(b)現象世界の万物はその根本原質から順次に開展・転変(parinama)したものであるとし,(c)世界はそうして開展せられた諸範疇と先に述べた二元を合わせた二十五の原理から成ると考え,(d)世界を主宰する神(isvara)を要請しないといった点が挙げられる.これに対して再認識論派は,(a')精神的存在であるシヴァ神に全てを帰する一元論を説き,(b')現象世界はシヴァ神により顕現(abhasa)せれらたものであるとし,(c')世界はシヴァ神を始めとする三十六の原理から成ると考え,(d')世界を主宰する神の存在を強調するというように,悉くサーンキヤ学派のそれと対立する主張をしている.これはすなわち,再認識論派がサーンキヤ哲学に対する批判の上に自説を構築したことを示している。この点を明らかにするために,上述の諸問題をめぐる種々の議論を文献学的調査を踏まえて検討した。その際,科学研究費補助金により購入した一次・二次資料および電算機器を駆使し,アビナヴァグプタのIsvarapratyabhijnavimarsiniの解読を軸に研究を進めた。また,特に(b)(b')の問題に関連して,振動(spanda)論派のSpandakarikaおよびその諸注釈文献を精査した結果,振動論派の思想形成に関わる発見があった。それを,本研究の成果の一部として学会発表および論文発表した。

The systematization of teaching in the Middle Ages is very important. The results of the division of theory between the two schools are re-recognized. The theory of the two schools is based on the fundamental principles of the phenomenon of the world. At the same time, scientific research grants are available for the purchase of primary and secondary data and computer equipment, and research on the solution axis of Isvarapratyabhijnavimarsini is available. A careful review of the literature on the Spandakarika theory of vibration (spanda) is presented in this paper, which is related to the formation of the ideas of spanda theory. A part of the results of this research is presented in the paper.
