当研究実施計画に記載した三段階の研究手順に則し、研究実績の概要を述べていくことにする。1.伊勢信仰に関係する文献等先行研究を入手し、研究史をまとめる基礎資料の充実を図ること伊勢御師の廻壇を直接対象にした先行研究等を探し出すことはできなかったが、伊勢参宮に関係した論文・図書を入手することができた。伊勢信仰が地方に浸透することを立証する上で、貴重な研究の入手といえる。2.神宮文庫等伊勢神宮側の史料を調査・分析し、神宮側の視点から伊勢御師を把握すること(1)膨大な神宮文庫所蔵古文書から、伊勢御師の檀家関係史料のほぼ全部を閲覧した。そして、江戸及び周辺地域の檀家関係の史料を把握することができた。浦田大夫の江戸、十文字大夫の常陸、三日市大夫の武州多摩群、特に、久保倉大夫の下野国における文化期の史料は厖大な量である。(2)神宮文庫では、部分的な複写しか許可していただけなかったため、基本的には文庫に通って解読しなくてはならなかった。そのため、今年度の本調査では、江戸町方の数点の史料を解読したに止まった。(3)寛文期に春木大夫の本所屋敷で神明宮が建てられ問題となり、以後諸国神明禁止の例として取り上げられていることを、史料より発見した。3.東京及び関東地方の地方史料を調査・分析し、町方・村方の視点から伊勢御師の活動の実態を解明すること世田谷区立郷土資料館の常設展示には伊勢信仰を題材にしたものがあるため、世田谷を中心に調査活動を行ったが、史料は断片的にしか残っていなかった。以上の結果より、今後の課題として、神宮文庫所蔵史料の解読・分析を継続していくつもりである。
