项目摘要

伊勢参宮ツーリズムの近代史の構築のための学際的アリーナを構築することを重要な目的として、以下の４班が共同しながら調査・研究をすすめた。＜信仰・民俗班＞近世以来の「御師―檀家」関係という「旧誼」にもとづいて地域共同体（主に農漁村部）の信仰・民俗の文脈で伊勢神宮を信仰した人々について検討するために、檀家関係史料を中心に調査・検討を進めた。＜修学旅行班＞明治末期の大逆事件をきっかけに、昭和戦前期に至るまで拡大していった小学児童の伊勢神宮への修学旅行について検討するための基礎作業として、旧国鉄門司鉄道局文書のデジタル化を進めた。＜交通・メディア班＞鉄道とメディア（新聞・雑誌）によって形成される大衆ツーリズムにおける伊勢神宮への行楽を兼ねた参拝について検討するために、関係するメディア資料を中心に調査・研究をすすめた。＜地域社会班＞参詣者の受け入れの主体となった地域社会（伊勢神宮・旧御師・門前商工業者など）について検討するために、旧御師関係史料の撮影と整理をすすめた。以上の研究成果は、逐次公刊物などにより公表している。主なものとしては以下の通り。平山昇「総力戦体制と「聖地」ツーリズム――「鍛錬」と「信仰」」（川島真・岩谷將編『日中戦争研究の現在』東京大学出版会、2022年4月）、谷口裕信「利根川・渡良瀬川合流地域（北埼玉郡）の被災情報　旧伊勢御師宛書簡を手がかりに」（土田宏成・吉田律人・西村健編『関東大水害』（日本経済評論社、2023年1月）、濱千代早由美「災害に関する共時的研究　「災害エスノグラフィー」と歴史」（同）。
