東海・中部地方を中心とする地域の地方文書の中でも各種訴訟の際の奉行所における吟味の様子が口語的傾向の多く見られる文体で綴られた吟味記録を求めて調査し、静岡県湖西市教育委員会蔵「天保三年藻草一件新処村と掛合并三給共始末之控」、愛知県豊橋市野依校区公民館蔵「御白洲始末書」(藻草訴訟)、安城市里町内会蔵「鷺蔵池出入諸事書留帳」、渥美町郷土資料館蔵「安政七年伊川津村宇津江村網一件御裁許」、岐阜県御嵩町の中山道みたけ館蔵「送木宿村水論一件」、長野県飯田市立図書館蔵「飯田町組頭日記」等及び熊本県立図書館・大阪中之島図書館・成田仏教図書館・逓信総合博物館・名古屋市蓬左文庫・史料館等において三業惑乱・道中奉行や各地の訴訟記録、また関連する武家社会の口語を反映する資料の原本・写本類を拝見し写真撮影・文献複写によって資料を収集しその伝存状況・書誌について調査した。これらを資料としてその語法の特色を検討したところ、吟味する側が寺社奉行・道中奉行等の幕府役人の場合には断定の助動詞に江戸語的なダを用い、資料によっては打消の助動詞ナイ、ワア行五段動詞連用形の促音便等さらに江戸語的特色が見られ、吟味を受ける各地の農民・漁民。町人の方は候文体にデゴザリマスを交えた文体で綴ってあり、東海・中部地方の資料では当地域の語法を反映するが語彙の面での方言性は顕著ではない、等の検討結果を得た。今後、これらの成果を論文化する予定である。

The result of the study was obtained by analyzing the grammar of the region and the dialect of the language. The future, the outcome of the discussion culture is predetermined.
